Is there anything different between a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner and a Funeral Director?

Yes, there is a big difference. A CFSP has sepnt hours upon hours attending seminars, workshops and conferences to gain enough additional hours in education to gain the CFSP designation. A CFSP designation can take years to attain, and it very prestigious. It has nothing to do with being able to make funeral arrangements or embalm, as mentioned incorrectly above. I am a funeral director (not yet a CFSP) and I make funeral arrangements and embalm.

cfsp is one who embalms and providing services like collection of bodies, burial /cremation permits, collection of ash etc. director is the boss. good business to get into. u will never lose!!
