what else can you do with the shredded paper?

We do shred private letter like, bank account, bills, social security letter, and credit cards. So instead of throwing it in the recycle paper bin, what else we can do with a shredded paper. I heared a new that people still steal identity throught the shred papers that we throw in the garbage.

Make papier mache… bury it in your compost heap for mulch…. line a bird cage or rabbit cage with it…. start an Arsonist’s Club with it….

First of all, if you invest in a shredder that does a cross cut or diamond cut pattern there will be less for people to try and piece back together.

Then there are a number of things that can be done with the remains. They make a great mulch for a garden, helping to hold in the moisture and keep the direct sunlight from evaporating the water in the soil.

Secondly– if you are into composting they are a great additive to your kitchen scraps and other “wet” composting components.

Thirdly– If you do not have a lot of room to compost, but want to get the benefits of it– the shredded paper can be used as the basis of a vermicomposter. This is a small bin (About the size of a tote box) that uses red wiggler worms to compost kitchen scraps. It is easy to make and maintain.

Fourthly– You can use the scraps in crafts. They can be used as a coarse stuffing in a bean-bag type chair. As the basis for paper mache, or even to make your own paper.

Have it cross shredded and throw it in several different garbage bags. It’s harder for them to put it all back together.
