What does it mean “we did the final interview yesterday and selected one other than you.?
Anyway it will take some more time to receive information from the faculty…
what does it mean …it is me and other guy or other guy.. who got selected?

Sorry – that’s the polite way of saying that you didn’t get the job. But keep applying – you obviously made it into the final cut, so you have lots to offer an employer.

It pretty much means they picked the other one but I can see why you would be confused. First they say they picked someone else then in the same breath they say the are waiting for more information, My guess is they did pick the other one.
