What do you think about school uniforms?

People believe that school uniforms will smother our indiviuality. It’s not what we wear that makes us who we are. It’s how we act. If people are so worried about what they look like, just look at japan. It’s one of the biggest fashions to accessorise their uniforms.

Personally I would love to have uniforms in my High school school. I hate seeing people able to get by with wearing what ever they want just because they’re one of the schools favorites. I know uniforms won’t stop favoritism but at least it won’t be so obvious.

I know some uniforms can be a little expensive. They allow you to get by with less clothing if needed. One or two uniforms for the week that you can wash and rewear, a nice sunday outfit, maybe something nice for a formal occassion, and then the rest can be of what ever you want and how much you want, if you want anymore clothes.

I like the idea of school uniforms and think school uniforms are a great equalizer. I wish there had been uniforms when my children were in school. With uniforms the kids who come from families with not so much money don’t have to worry about not having the “right” clothes, shoes, etc. Uniforms also help create a school identity and bond. They make shopping for school clothes very easy, and certainly make life easier for parents. I’m all for school uniforms.

It is an excellent idea for autistic, asperger, special ed, indecisive and lack of good taste people because it eliminates one more thing that they have to be worried about. Cheerleaders and other team-spirited extra curriculum activities already wear uniforms. If you don’t go to college by the time you reach adulthood you’ll be in a uniform for your job you may never escape, so, you might as well get used to it.

It says in the Bible you are not suppose to worry about the clothes you wear. This does not mean you are to be naked and care less about peoples opinion. It means some how GOD will do the providing for you. Uniforms are made in bulk and requires no high priced designer which is cost effective.

The only people that a school uniform would not agree with are the heavily fashion conscience rich children that love finding a good reason to pressure mommy and daddy to give them more money as proof that they love them more than someone else. GREED-VANITY.

I do advice that even though the uniforms all look a like they be made of several different materials. I am allergic to wool and I would not look better or learn well by the end of the day.

Your individuality should shine in your actions at school. You can always dress the way you want after school and on the weekends.

I completely share the way you think! Im from a private school and yes, we wear uniforms. The things I most love about them is that they kinda show discipline and respect, theres no way you could seem trashy, or like a hore, or nerdy. Everyone is the same so those “classifications” doesnt exist on a private institution according to your clothes. Like you said, is your personality and the way you act what makes you unique. Thus, it take off so many worries off so you can focus more on your classes, which is school purpose. You dont have to worry every single day on what to wear and the money you spend on clothes every single day would be spended better. I personally havent ever get bored, because since I am in kindergarden I have to wear uniform, so is just a rule more you have to adapt to and get used to.

hi! I, as a individual who have been donning uniforms for an particularly long term, have self assurance all colleges (all public colleges) ought to positioned on uniforms. i think of school is approximately studying, insted of a thank you to look. i’ve got self assurance it the two distracts, and takes useful studying time faraway from little ones. while a instructor has to tell a scholar to “bypass to the place of work and alter” it takes away time from studying. additionally, it makes the school look extra advantageous. while scholars from a college are seen dressing inappopropriatly, it makes the school look undesirable. additionally, for my section, i admire my uniform!!

I think I am for uniforms. Kids already have so many more decisions to make. It’s just one less they have to worry about. It is a bit pricey but it saves us parents in the long run. Going to school should be about getting an education and not about image, popularity, or who is wearing what. It also prepares them for the real world. Most employers require you to wear some type of professional attire. As for limitation of expression, students could express themselves after school, weekends, summer, etc. Now more than ever kids need discipline as well as GOD in their lives. They need to be taught how to respect, follow rules, and how to manage their time wisely which are all aspects needed out here in the REAL WORLD. Time flies…by the time you students know it, you will be out of school and will be able to express yourselves crazy. Those of you that have to wear uniforms now enjoy not having to decide what you are going to wear EEEVERY SSSINGLE MORNING! Enjoy life to its fullest and don’t complain about something so minor and just be thankful that you have something to wear every day. God Bless.

I think school uniforms are a great idea. You don’t show your individualism by what you wear but by who you are.

Plus you don’t have to spend 30 minutes trying to figure out what to wear in the mornings.
