Mean girls is a stereotype of the fashionable, perhaps attractive, typically impolite group that popularizes many high schools. But this is only a stereotype and may or may not be concurrent with the school you choose to attend.

The source is a little harsh but moving in a way. I especially liked the quote to describe the girls “You get what you put up with”.
