I did a B.A. too πŸ™‚ but you really need to do a post grad to get into most specific career areas. A B.A. is like a stepping stone to many careers – it gives you an advantage over others who are trained/qualified in only one specific area. It depends on your subjects – e.g. I studied English and sociology and did a postgrad in P.R. with media, but I’m still undecided! πŸ™‚ I feel luckier than my friends who went straight into e.g. teaching or law as they are restricted to those areas. With a B.A. the world is your lobster πŸ™‚ x

Like they say, “If you can’t do then teach.” A BA can be used in almost any field you choose to major in. If your BA is in English it can be used for writing, news reporting or any of the literary arts. If it is in the fine arts you can work in which ever branch you studied whether it be painting, drawing, sculpting, glass blowing, basket weaving or twinkle toes. It helps to know your major when you are looking for work regardless of the degree.

There’s many options, but it would have to depend on your area of concentration.
