are the people in your study group your friends? if they are, that’s you’re problem. you don’t have friends as study buddies… nothing will get done no matter what you do. If you want to keep with the same people, I suggest you add a person that yall aren’t really friends with so that it’ll be a bit awkward when yall start talking about something and that person can’t participate and then you’ll be forced to study. if they aren’t your friends and you just can’t study, I suggest that you assign things for each person to do before the meetings (that should be on a designated day each week) and then do a show and tell kind of thing, these shouldn’t be new concepts, but more of a review for everyone
