Teachers:Do you talk about your students when they are not there?

I don’t mean like the obvious things like who is in detention.

I mean do you make fun of them and laugh at them when they are not there?

Not really, we will discuss problems they are having both in class and out.

We try to offer each other ideas to help reach problem children. and yes we do gripe about our kids when they act out or disrupt class.

It is human nature to vent, and we are human.

( even if you don’t believe it. )

I am sure some teachers will do that, but it is not the norm.

P.S. I am not a teacher, but my best friend is, and we talk about his students all the time. ( No he does not ever make fun of them )

hope this helps.

I’m not a teacher myself, but my college tutors do.

Sometimes, after a lunch break, one of the tutors that haven’t taken us for a lesson on that day will start to talk about something even they ere not told directly by one of the students.

Once they even admitted to talking about us while we’re not in their presence.
