spartan college of aeronautics??

I am a senior in high school and need help choosing a college or university. I have a 4.0 GPA and scored an 1800 on the SATs the first time I took them, but I am taking them again, so hope to improve my score. I want to be a pilot, although I am not sure which type, but I do know that I want to have a career in the aviation industry. I have been looking at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It seems like a really good school but it is very far away from home (I live in California). If anyone is attending Spartan or is a graduate from there I would love to hear your feedback on the school. Also if anyone knows of other great aviation colleges (preferably in or near California) I would like to hear about those as well. Your help is much appreciated, Thanks!

My husband is a pilot for the airlines. He went to Oklahoma State University. He thought about going to Spartan, but decided to get a 4 year degree along with his flying. You can get through Spartan faster and the airlines need pilots. My husband is a captain and he has first officers that have as little as 200 hundred hours total time. The airlines are hurting for pilots. When my husband started out 15 years ago, it was hard to get a job. If you have any questions, I will try to get him to answer them when he isn’t away flying. I hope this helps somewhat.

Spartan is a waste of time. The school is horrible unless you to be a mechanic. There new program is $69,000, and that is at minimums. look into ATP they have bases all over the country and you can be done in as little as five months, www.allatps.com, I attented spartan until i got sick of the crap they were giving me and i went next door and finished in two weeks. Now I have my CFI, CFII, and MEI no thanks to spartan
