People to People: Student Ambassadors questions.?

Hi, I recived a letter in the mail from People to People Student ambassadors. It said I was nominated to go explore the world in the summer of 2008. I feel honored but I have a few questions.

How much does it cost? My mom works part time and I my tutoring business is not going so well. Does it cost money to attend the information meeting? Is this a hox? Is there any way they would let me go for a low price. The website said the price varies depending on where you live. I live in Florida.

It depends which trip you are going on, but i just went on a trip to Australia and New Zealand and it was $6000. Most of them are around that much, but some are more depending on how long the trip is and where you are going. It isnt a hoax, i had an amazing time and i want to go again. You dont have to pay to go to the info meeting. I dunno if they would let you go for a low price, but they have scholarship opportunities, and fundraising ideas.

I live in California, and i dunno if the price is different here, but if you sign up to go to the info meeting im sure all your questions will be answered. I had an awesome time, so hopfully you will be able to go and have a good time too..

Be careful … Exchange programs are FOR PROFIT organizations. If they ask for ANY money, it is an advertisement, not an invitation. Many of these organizations loosely manage students (because the commission is based on a completed stay.
