Good idea as long as the school is accredited.

UMass Online is good. 🙂 My friend got his undergrad from them and then went on to Boston U. for his Masters (which he got). All online and all valuable. 🙂

I took a few classes on time and found it to be more time consuming than if I were in the classroom taking classes. All I can suggest is if you want to do it, you must be very dedicated and make sure you are on at certain times and keep up with your requirements. Make sure you have a computer with a high speed internet connection at home. Be sure of what program you want to get into and look into financial aid. It can be quite expensive. University of Phoenix is who I used, but I think there are better and more affordable ones out there. If you don’t have an Associate’s degree yet, I would suggest going to a local community college where they have flexible class schedules, and do your bachelor’s degree online.

I used to take some classes online (useing NovaNet) and it seemed the quality of the education i was getting varied from each subject i took. there are some subjects (health, history, simple classes etc.) that are nice to take online because they are easy to understand and not to diffcult. but then you have classes like math and science or a foreign language that really are not meant to be taught by a simple computer screen and this makes those classes hard to comprehend without someone phsyically teaching you.

It depends on what kind of online classes you are talking about. I think that colleges that are solely online are a waste of time. Colleges like University of Phoenix, Devry University, Etc. But regular universities that offer online classes are good.

well online classes are nice when you dont have a way to get to a college that you cant get to. plus you can get a head of your class by doing more work at once. you also can do your work at your onw pace. the cons i cant think of any. and for a school try pheonix university they offer online courses plus many others.
