NJ pre employment drug test?
I got a job as a security guard for a private security company in NJ….they told me that i have to come back tomorrow to take a drug test in the office…..Is it even legal for them to make me take a drug test in the office and not in a lab…..also can my employer come in and watch me give the specimen????Serious answers only please. Thanks

Your employer may not watch you actually pee in a cup. If they do you may sue their *** off. I believe it should be done in a lab in your town & not at the office. That is just unheard of but I do not know the NJ laws. I would go along with it & if your employer sees you pee get ready to file suit. Who is to say this guy is not just trying to get his rocks off ?

Of course it is.
Any employer is free to screen at will, PERIOD.
If you’re dirty, don’t bother… save yourself the embarrassment.
And it’s just a fact, the lower the pay scale the more the employer can screw with whatever “rights” you may think you have.

yes i think that they can give you a drug test in the office,they have some that they just dip a stick in your speciman,it only takes a minute,but I dont think they have a right to be in there with you.

I don’t think an employer can force you to urinate in front of them. They will probably give you a cup and point you to the bathroom.
