It is not the age of the person that will cause concern, it will be their academic classification. Freshman going through formal recruitment will score higher than seniors because they will be in the chapter longer.

Here is what most sororities look for in potential new members:

-Grades.

-High school and college involvement.

-Talents

-Reputation (example: will this PNM make our chapter look bad, does she do drugs, dance on tables, work as a stripper, not brush her teeth on a daily basis, etc.)

If you are going through recruitment at UGA, I would STRONGLY recommend having letters of recommendation from a chapter alumni for each house.

I’m not sure about the University of Georgia, but at our school age doesn’t matter at all. As long as you’re a college student, that’s all that matters.

Check out their website and/or email someone in charge of recruitment to find out for sure.
