As a triple second generation Navy man (That’s what I call it when both parents are in the Navy and you’re born at Pearl Harbor, then go into the Navy yourself) I can brag about the sea and maritime life to you but that’s probably not going to answer your question.

I come from the old school Navy where we never made much money- but we didnt do the job for the money either. That leads me to be puzzled about something. Why are you considering going to the Academy for a job you know nothing about. Better that you learn about the career (more so the life) before you worry about schooling for it.
