If you really put forth the effort and study … you will get the best grade of which you are capable.

How to Get Straight A’s

Everyone who has been through it, knows that getting straight As is not a mystery, and you don’t have to be Einstein to do it. As anything else in life though, it does require effort, determination, and positive thinking.

Practice makes perfect. Try not to study too hard since too much of anything is bad. Study for hour blocks and give yourself 5-10 mins rest intervals. Try going on the Internet or visiting your local library and have a quiet space to read. Plus, instead of just reading and writing, try actually doing the subject. So if its science, try doing experiments. Many people learn kinesthetically (doing things actively).

During the test, try not to rush and take your time. Miss questions you cannot do and come back to them later. Time is vital, but don’t let time be against you. Try and take a deep breath before the test as this allows more oxygen to enter your body. Also, try drinking water during the test if you’re allowed. Studies have shown that drinking water increases your performance in tests.

If you do not get straight A’s, don’t fear, at least you tried your best and no one in the world can ask for more.

I hope the best for your test,

I’m currently in the same position.

Pay attention in class, take notes, and participate in class. Participating in class helps you learn better because you’re reiterating what you’ve just been taught and you’re likely to remember it more. Definitely do all your homework as it’s review and practice. This will come in a lot handy when it comes to studying for tests. Correct all your homework so that when a tests comes around, you’ll have the right answers and you’d be prepared on what’s expected on the test.

Study hard, but don’t cram! cramming doesn’t help trust me i know. Also, don’t be afraid to ask the teacher for help or extra help when needed. It’s only gonna benefit you in the end. Lastly and most importantly, DON’T FORGET TO RELAX AND HAVE FUN. Sometimes working too hard can stress you out. Being able to chill out with your friends, extracurricular activities will allow you to reduce stress and will help you out in school and studying. Good luck

The only way to be sure that you get straight A’s all year is to not slack off. I had straight A’s until the 4th quarter last year (freshman year). The only reason I didn’t have A’s was that I stopped trying. I didn’t do my math homework.. like ever and I stopped studying for tests (except bio, I HAD to study for biology or I’d fail). That’s when I stopped getting all A’s. As long as you work hard all year, do all of your homework, and study for tests, you’ll do fine. Also, take advantage of study hall if you have one. And don’t sleep during class…

Its important to keep on top of your work load. Revising well, drawing up revision timetables to stay on top of this, and carrying out practice exams is essential if your work is mainly assessed through examinations. But most importantly, balance work with other things, eat healthy, get at least 8 hrs sleep a night, and have fun cos you’re only young once (and if you don’t you’ll go mad!). If you need straight As to go to university, its important not to do too much now, else you’ll burn out before you even get there (and naturally university is a lot more demanding than high school).

yah, get off the games and the tv and get serious. my freshman year i got a 2.4 because i didnt study at all sure i got a’s on tests but i didnt finsh my projects or my homework which is about 50% of your grade. Also i didnt use a planner. My sophmore year, even when i was gone every friday for a hockey tournament, i turned off the games and the tv and started studying. I got a 3.6. Just by turning of that stuff i did so much better. Trust me theres enough time on the weekend to screw around.

Pay attention in class

Dont get distracted by anything

Take down notes

Dont procrastinate

Always study for 60 minutes each night

Dont leave studying for a big test to the last minute!

Good Luck and I hope that you get straight A’s.

Read each chapter that your teacher assigns. If you are given a list of terms, make flash cards of them to study. Listen in class, sit towards the front and take notes. Get plenty of sleep before tests.

great goal. just stay focused with a specific goal in mind. study hard, maybe even find some friends with the same goal to do good in school. study together. remind yourself often that it’s hard to get anywhere in life without a good education. then go to mcdonalds and see how you would like that job for raising a family. there is nothing wrong with working there, it’s just that you won’t get that big fat paycheck.
