001 is the United states, when YOU dial from your phone. I do it every week. Canada also!!!

However, when it is a caller ID phone number it could mean: 00 foreign number, 1787country code = Puerto Rico.

1784 = St. Vincent and Grenada.

BE CAREFUL! I’ve heard that some area codes in the Carribean are special PAY NUMBERS. It could cost you 40 pounds to dial them direct to call them back. It is just a scam to get money from your telephone server and YOU!!!

America 001 plus: (only first one is Canada) (

780 AB Canada: Northern Alberta, north of Lacombe (see 403)

781 MA Massachusetts: Boston surburbs, to the north and west (see splits 617, 508; overlay 339)

784 — – St. Vincent & Grenadines (split from 809)

785 KS – N & W Kansas: Topeka (split from 913)

786 FL – SE Florida, Monroe County (Miami; overlaid on 305)

787 PR – Puerto Rico (see overlay 939, perm 8/1/01)
