I have a question about the proper use of “seen”?
In the long ago past, I believe when you were talking about something you had previousley seen, you said you “saw” it. Anymore, everyone seems to use “seen”, as in “I seen that guy around before”.
Please help me in this question. It seems to be an epidemic.
Of course, in the big picture, what in the hell difference does it make, I guess!!

They are uneducated idiots. It is not proper English. Here is an example of the correct usage.
I have seen many beautiful sunsets from my own front porch.
It makes a BIG difference to someone who is judging you on your knowledge of correct English usage.

Yup, our language is going down the tubes. It should be “I saw that guy around before”. or…”I’ve seen that guy around before”. Not “I seen that guy around before”.
Also….starting a sentence is Anymore, is not correct. It should be “Everyone seems to use “seen” nowadays”.

It does seem to be an epidemic, but the correct usage is “I saw” and “I have seen”.
