I have a PDF that wont let me copy text from it (ie highlight, ctrl + c). How can I make it so that I can?
It is a PDF from Devry. They wont let you copy text because of copyright reasons. I know the computer is reading it as text because windows vista will read it out loud to me but the copy and paste function are disabled!
All I want is to be able to have it read certain sections out loud to me but the way it is right now it reads EVERYTHING on the page which includes a lot of stuff that makes my idea unpractical.
I have contacted Devry and they told me that they could not help me because that would go against their policy of making it as difficult and expensive as possible to learn anything.
Please help! How can I fix this?

What version of Adobe reader are you using? Try the newest, v8.1
If that doesn’t work, you would need to get the full version of Adobe Acrobat so you can remove the restrictions, that is if you know the password.
