Given a + b = one hundred, so a = (one hundred – b). additionally given y = a^2 x 2b^3 Differentiate y with admire to b: dy/db = 60,000b^3 – a million,600b^3 + 10b^4 = 0 remedy for b which provides b = {0, 60, one hundred}, and because a + b = one hundred, this capacity a = {one hundred, 40, 0}. provided that a and b are useful numbers, this reduces our answer to a = 40 and b = 60.
