I recently graduated college for Medical Office Assistant. I do not know of any certification or single class you can take to be a medical assistant. What is offered is a two year program, you graduate and get your deploma and then you can take the test to be certified.

It isnt just a class!

CNAs usually paintings helping long term care citizens with their own cares, feeding, ect… they have some months worth of training. medical assitants have a minimum of a year’s worth of training. they are able to paintings in labs. some may even dispense drugs. they are able to additionally supply pictures and do blood attracts. In Wisconsin a CNA won’t be able to paintings as a CMA. they are no longer qualified.

Contact the State board that issues the certification and ask them. Then you’re sure to get the correct answers.
