There was a day
When world knowledge
closed eyes
stung lungs
bled noses
A day when dead writers and thinkers acended
swirled in hot winds and ash
stained skin and clothes
stained babies faces with
Octopi, papyrus and cuttle fish carbon
A day when the work of so many
raised up to filter a setting sun
orange, rose gold, lime, purple
