The best way to get jobs as a babysitter is through recommendation. Parents are naturally reluctant to leave their children with someone who the do not know. The would also usually prefer someone who is older. The feel and often mistakenly that older teenagers are more responsible.

You will get older of course with time. Continue the flyers.You need to overcome your shyness. You can approach the parents that you know and say that you have started babysitting. It is not necessary in your circumstances to directly ask for a job if that bothers you. The parents will know what you mean anyways.
