volunteering, extra-curricuricular activites, outstanding teacher recommendations, an interview and having an amazing transcipt would help. your class rank is also very important. Ivy Leagues want students who stand out from every other intelligent kid. your college essay is the best way for them to get to know you and your personality. make it interesting, but try to keep it semi-formal and use it to demonsrate your writng abilities. get help from your conselor and english teacher.
and just remember that they only accept about 6-20% of their applicants, so even if you don’t make it and are determined to study there you can always try to get your graduate degree there, as your undergrad is not close to as important.
also, there are tons of quality colleges who are just as great. you should check out a top colleges book. i got one for free in the mail from petersons. i find it very useful in my college search.

Did they change the SAT scoring? It used to only go up to 1600….
And also, it’s U Penn. You really shouldn’t be that worried.
