They are usually quick-paced and more in depth then a general education class. Being an honor student, the teacher expects more from you, they usually expect you to already have good study habits, know how to write well, and know to participate in discussion groups without needing to be “babysat”.

They’re tough, but very rewarding, especially at the high-school and junior college level, it will prepare you for university classrooms.

Honors classes are much more fast paced. Whereas a regular class may spend a week on a subject, an honors class may be ready to move on after 2 or 3 days. They go in-depth and require more work than honors classes. Also, the teachers typically expect you to do things by yourself and not be spoonfed.

Honors classes go more indepth and prepare you for college by doing more advance problems and experiments. regular classes just teach you what you need to pass the high school graduation test.

To tell you the truth, the only real difference is the grading scale… it is usually harder. Most classes are the same even if they are regulars or honors.
