high school.?

why does anything there matter. why does it matter if youre pretty or smart, emo or preppy, black or white. why does ANY race, image, or look matter? it shouldnt. that shouldnt have anything to do with the people inside of all that stuff.

You get it you are definatly more mature than others your age. Usually it takes a lot longer to realize this. You will be more sucessful and happier because of it. If people give you a hard time they are only doing it because they feel you are better and kids/teens think that if they hurt you then they will feel better. Of course that doesn’t work.

You are real so don’t cocern yourself with silly things like what everyone else is doing. Be yourself and be happy, you can always be a good example and do the right thing maybe they will catch on too.

It has nothing to do with anything. 10 years from now, you will look back to your high school days and realize that all of those ‘groups’ didn’t matter in the first place. High school is pretty much a waste of time except to ‘prepare’ you for college, which most high school teachers don’t understand. Everything you learn in high scool is only in prep for the things that are to come. That includes both academic and social aspects. Don’t worry about groups. Focus on college, people are generally more mature there.

I never really fit in anywhere in high school. I played sports but I just kinda felt like I was there. I wasn’t in any real group of friends. I was pretty average. I’ve been out of high school for five years and I look back on high school and smile and laugh to myself. None of what happened there affects me today. High school is such a short period of time in life and though it’s not easy now, don’t waste your time stressing about what happens there. Do your best in school to prepare for the future and let petty stuff like that alone. To be honest, not to discourage you, but it doesn’t really go away after high school either. What you look like, race, gender, image, etc will always have some play in the real world in finding jobs and in social status. My best advice is to be yourself and find happiness in who you are because that’s exactly who you’re supposed to be and it’s a great thing.

OMG. I know exactly how you feel. I don’t understand it either, like “popular”. I hate that word and I wanna punch every person in the face when I hear them call themselves that. People are people and friends are friends… no matter what. Like those movies when “popular” kids find the best friendships with the kids who are completely opposite of them, but they feel they need to hide it. I just don’t understand, but not everybody can understand whats really important.

i knw what u mean but some people have an effect on others as well… its best to disregard what people say but sometimes u cant control the people around you and how much “gossip” hey take into their own perspective. its evrywhere but high schools the worst.. if u think of a way to stop it let me know till then

It doesn’t matter if you don’t let it.
