Driving test practical and theory questions? (for those who have passed or who are learning) (UK)?

I am going to start learning to drive soon and wondered…

1. what is the best way of studying for the theory test? Book? CD rom? can you reccomend titles.

2. For the driving lessons should I do an intensive course or lessons every week? (which in your opinion is better to pass etc)

3. If I have lessons every week, how many per week do you think? (max three) and how long should they be? (ive heard 2 hours is good, what do you think)

4. Any general hints and tips you can give me for theory, driving lessons, driving test etc?

Thanks all. Much appreciated. x

book is better than cd – but if u r familiar with computers – then go for cd

intensive is better – attention is full. less distraction, pass is highly likely

if can afford it take 3. if 3 – is there 1.5hrs? too long can get mental fatigue

hv to learn by hard and when u walk around – observe all signs. observe other drivers – junctions, parking, se how they do it. look at wheels – turning or straight – it gives u idea what the driver is doing. practice more parking. hear speed of car with gear change. it shld match. dont over-rev

test: gotta be careful – sometimes u get good tester – u r ok

drive at proper speed. not too slow or too fast. dont jerk too much.
