When I was in high school, you could occasionally find the boyfriends and girlfriends who were really “in love” sitting across from each other at a table or desk, making their googly eyes at each other with their dorky grins, and then reach over and pick or pop the other one’s pimple. Sometimes they’d announce it first, saying something like, “Here, let me get that for you”, then they’d put their fingers on the guy’s/girl’s face and squeeze that pimple. If there were a few ripe ones, then they’d do one after another. And often they’d both have their hands on the other’s face at the same time, each squeezing away, and always with that stupid luvvy duvvy look on their faces, even when the other’s pimple went splat in their face.

Sadly, I am not making this up. Even the popular kids (the cheerleaders and jocks) would do this. They’d even do it in the cafeteria after eating. I’d see it happen at least twice a day.

So, does this kind of thing still happen, or was I just unlucky enough to be one of the few to have to witness this gross display of affection?

Oh, and sometimes you’d see this in middle school, too.
