Can your teachers cut back on work if you’re stressed at home?

I wouldn’t know because I’m homeschooled, but my friend is having trouble at home.

So along with that stress shes being given too much work, and she CAN finish, but its just really hard for her.

Is there any type of law or anything that requires a teacher to cut back the required work on a student if they’re having problems at home?

Her school is little, so she can’t drop courses or anything, and shes already asked to be cut down a little, but to no avail.

What should she do?

The teacher is not required to cut back on work. If her school is little she shoudl talk to each teacher one on one. If that doesn’t work talk to the principal or a counselor about it.

Teachers do not care about home problems unless it benefits them directly.

I had an amazing amount of stress at home. More so than most others. I just got through it reminding myself that I want that diploma bad.

Do I ever regret that.

There’s no rule, but she should go talk to her school counselor. It’s confidential, and they can help her work out her problems and can also talk to to the teacher.

Stay after school and get extra help from your teachers. That is what they will tell you.
