Is boarding school a better way to go if you want a smarter child?

in my opinion boarding schools really depend on the child…it probably could help a child who needs some growing up to do…their are alot more responsibility’s… i don’t know of any but i think their great

I personally think children do better in their own homes with parents who are actively involved in their education.
I believe children feel their parents are abandoning them especially at age 11 or 12. This is such a sensitive age and I know I’d have felt my parents were rejecting me no matter their reasoning. Children this age need their parents and do not have the ability to see the reasoning behind such a decision (better education?). They simply see it as them not being wanted anymore. Just my opinion.

I REALLY wanted to go to boarding school when I was that age, I had some friends who went. They hated it, and hated their parents for sending them off. Personally I couldn’t wait to get out of my parents house, I loved them, I was just very independent.
