Apartment right out of highschool, stupid or smart?

okay my highschool friends and i are getting an apartment together because we are all going to the same school that is close to our houses(aka community college) and we dont want to live at home. is it smart to get a place or no?

well personally, i think you probably have the BEST friends in the entire goddddammneedd world. They’ll probably cook you ramen noodles, soup, grilled cheese, and italian food all the time. However i dont know if it’d be such a great idea to share a bedroom. I’d recommend three. choose this for best answer and ill buy you lunch tomorrow.

a lot depends on the commitment of your friends to show some responsibility but more often than not this would be a good decision. it will give you a chance to gain some independence from your families but they are still in the same town so they can act as a safety net incase things don’t go as planned

fact is you’re going to have to move out someday so better sooner than later in my opinion

I moved out at 18, it was a good move for me. Living at home saves you some cash but having your own place is great for the freedom and independence.

depends on if said friends have reliable jobs, can each pay for food, rent, utilities, etc. i wouldn’t do it. how many of you are there, and are you able to share one bathroom between all of you?
