Anyone heard of a school program called leadership?

Does anyone know what this course does and how it can benefit you? It offers no school credit.

Please don’t say contact your school and ask.

Leadership is a course teaching students how to use their skills to lead in both school and community. Students sometimes go on trips to join other groups from other schools to learn how to be innovative thinkers, how to organize, how to inspire others around them, how to be a part of a team as well, and how to become a leader of that team, how to communicate well.

My granddaughter is involved in such courses. She’s been in leadership courses for several years now. She currently serves as student liason/representative at her High School’s Governing Board meetings.

She recently joined up with other groups at Stanford Univ for a special week’s get together over summer vacation. If you are outgoing and well spoken, your grades are high and you enjoy

communicating, and you like being a leader, this is the kind of classes you would enjoy.

Sad that you don’t get any credit for this course. She does here in California.

the best thing you can do is looking at the elective booklet,

but leadership is leadership, it teaches you how to be a leader, and how to be incharge. at my school, the homework is 6 hours of community service in a term.its pretty difficult.
