You need to make sure that you are not overloading yourself but are still able to meet your financial needs.
I am a full time student and I work full time…in additon to that, I am married with two children.
I work at least 40 hours a week and take 15 or more hours at a time. The key is time management, you have to sit down an budget your time almost like you would your money! But, if you find a system that works and stick to it, you will find success.

I’m probably not a good example for you, but I work 84 hours a week. That’s 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. I just recently (about 8 months ago) received my B.A. in Psychology with a speciality in Abnormal Psychology. I worked my normal schedule while taking 12 to 16 credits at a time. I graduated with a 3.95.
The real question you should ask is what are you willing to give up to keep your grades up and work?

I have taken 22 hours the last 2 years at school including Physics and Calculus 3 and 4 all in the same year. I am a computer engineer with a minor in math. I usually worked around 20 hours a week, mostly on the weekend on like sunday and saturday.

I have 3 PT jobs, go to college and have 4 kids. I love it when young college students say, “OMG..how do you do that??” I say, ” Do what?” lol…If it has to be done, it gets done. So, your question …really depends on the individual. We have different “breaking points.”
