What are the advantage and disadvantage of telephone and voice mail???

Telephone-talk directly to person. Get answeres and details. Go over details that are not clear. End communication. Disadvantage-Having to wait for person to answere the phone to get response.
Voice mail-May require multiple calls back and forth to get simple question answered. May take several days because person does not always check mail box.
Advantage is that you can at least leave a message and HOPE TO GET A TIMELY ANSWERE. OR, you may want to leave a message and NOT HEAR THE ANSWERE.
The BESTsystem all depends on WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH IT.

Telephone: advantages – two-way, instant response, flexible for longer, more interactive discussion. Disadvantages: cannot wait for response, cannot delay response.
Voice mail: Advantage: caller can “compose message”, caller need not get response or get trapped in a conversation.
Disadvantage: cannot get imediate feedback.
