5x + 2y = 6

2y = -5x + 6 (subtracted 5x)

y = -5/2x + 3 (divided by 2)

-5/2 is the slope

3 is the the y intercept

Y = MX + B

Y = (x, y) {The y in the location)

M = Slope

X = (x, y) {The x in the location)

B = y intercept

equation of a line is: y=mx+c

so write it in this form

5x+2y=6

=> 2y=6-5x

=> y=3-5x/2

now c the equation….

m= -5/2

c= 3

m refers to slope of the line

c refers to y-intercept

This equation is in standard form. Ax+By=C

All you really have to do is solve for Y and you will have it. It is very easy.
