DANG good question – i starred you for this one. I guess because it was before the advent of the internet (and Yahoo answers). Students have been plaigerizing for years but now it is so easy with the Internet. Term papers for sale and all that stuff is so prolific. Now here, you can get specific answers for free. If I hadn’t lost my job as a teacher (for being a loser) I would not be answering as well as I do but I also lead the questioner to think

I don’t see a problem with asking for help with a homework question. Learning is a process, and for most kids, it does happen at some point.
The only problem I have is with the kids who don’t even try, and who post dozens of questions in this section because they’re trying to evade responsibility for a whole test. They don’t need to drop out — they need a parent to step in, tell them to get off the internet and do their homework. For all the time they spend typing out exercises, they could probably figure them out themselves.
