Why do you think scientists used the metric system for measurement?

….Beats me. I still don’t know.

It’s like they said… The metric system is easier because it is based on powers of ten. Not only can you convert more easily, but it’s easier to name your units of measurement. (They all use the same prefix.) One goal of the metric system is to have a single unit for any given quantity. Another is to have a system that is universal, meaning anyone can understand and use it.

I just learned this:

Its is more accurate then the customary and international systems. Therefore it is easier to use because all the digits in it atre multiplyable and divisable by ten

Because it’s basde on 0, therefore it is much quicker to work with.

For example: 1 centimeter = 100 millimeters = .01 meter = .00001 kilometer.

You don’t need to work with fractions.

S. I. = system internationale
