My Spanish teacher in High school always talks about a formally popular teaching method called the ‘Osmosis Method.’ She uses this reference when our book puts words that we don’t know in our reading assignments and expect us to figure it out. I think this is also applied when she talks in Spanish above our level and some people can figure it out. I’m not really sure if this answers your question…that’s just my experience with the word.

I mean listen to this one if my friend’s older sister passed high school just so the teacher could get rid of her, she didn’t do any work and what she did do she got most of it wrong but she has a high school diploma.
