Last person has it solved up to the last step…follow her instructions to get the slope, which eliminates options B and F (did u mean D?). now test either point (1,2) or (-1,-2) in “A” and “D”:

“D”: y = 2x + 1; y=2, x=1

2 = 2(1) + 1

2 = 2+1

2 = 3 WRONG

“A”: y = 2x; y=2, x=1

2 = 2(1)

2 = 2 CORRECT

the answer is A

Find the slope.

y2-y1/x2-x1

-2-2/-1-1

-4/-2

4/2

2/1

2

now in your equations which one has the slope of 2?

remember that the slope in y=mx + b form is always the m. Where would the line pass through on the y-intercept?
