Neutron.

Neutrino= little mass, >1amu

Electron= >1amu

Proton= 1 amu

Neutron= technically 1 amu, but weighs a bit more than a proton.

Oh, and for the person above me, you have NO IDEA of what the heck you’re talking about. The stablity or instablilty of a neutron (not nauetron or however you spelled it) has nothing to do with weight. Protons are more stable than neutrons, yet they wiegh less. Get your facts straight, kid.

Oooooo!! GOOD QUESTION!! Well, to see the big picture of what is made of what, look into the “Standard Model.” It is the current scientific theory that explains the nature of matter and energy. According to the Standard Model: Neutrons are one proton plus one electron Protons are each comprised of three quarks Electrons are elementary particles (like quarks) The Standard Model also features “force carrier” particles, which are photons, gluons, and bosons. So, the three types of elementary particles are quarks, leptons (the electron plus a couple other particles), and force carriers. What are these made of? Well, the folks at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) who know elementary particles as well as anyone can, say, “All we know is that quarks and leptons are smaller than 10^(-19) meters in radius. As far as we can tell, they have no internal structure or even any size. It is possible that future evidence will, once again, show this understanding to be an illusion and demonstrate that there is substructure within the particles that we now view as fundamental.” SLAC didn’t say it, but the force carriers are known to be smaller than a very small dimension (sorry, I don’t know what that is) and are thought to be dimensionless points. “String Theory” has been proposed to take care of some problems with the Standard Model. It proposes that quarks, leptons, and force carriers are all made of tiny loops of matter that are called “strings.” The type of particle is determined by the frequency at which the loop vibrates. String Theory should probably be called “String Hypothesis” because it has not been accepted as a better explanation of reality than the Standard Model. Some day, however, it may be possible to say that everything is made of tiny loops.

The answer is neutron, and Sharon was correct, except she incorrectly used greater-than signs, when she meant to use less-than signs. The person above her is completely incorrect – she was confusing the nucleus of an atom, which contains neutrons and protons, with a neutron.

Neutrino < electron < proton < neutron Electrons are MUCH smaller than protons; neutrons are slightly larger than protons. Neutrinos are super tiny. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron

I think its probably neautron-cuz in the neautron there’s protons. …and a neautron is concentrated in an atom.
