7/16 is larger.
Compare to 3/8 by restating eighths into 1/16ths
i.e. to restate 3/8 as 16th needs you to multiply the denominator and numerator by 2 = 6/16
7/16 is larger than 6/16, right?

If you multiply 3/8 by two, you get 6/16, which now has the same denominator as 7/16
7/16 is greater than 6/16, so 7/16 is greater than 3/8
