You are so bright that you see the problem. These kids do not want to read from the books. Everything is in text book. I agree. they trust some stranger giving answers.

I am afraid that these same kids will drop out of high school…that’s if they make it to one.

Maybe if teachers wouldn’t give assignments that others could answer. Maybe if parents instilled a work ethic in their kids. Maybe if parents didn’t let their kids go online unsupervised. Maybe if parents helped their own kids with their homework. Maybe if kids realized having the right answer isn’t as important as the process of getting the right answer. Maybe if education was more relevant to the real world. Maybe if we let kids read what they’re interested in. Just some random thoughts. None of the kids cheated when they were learning to walk or speak. Give them skills they will need to use in the world. They have to learn to read, write, and do basic math. Watch the film Idiocracy. Maybe it’s prophetic.

I don’t think that it should be that drastic. Kids need help. The principle should be that we will help them find the answers and overcome difficulties that they have with homework but not do it for them.
