Think about what you really like to do or where you like to go. Favorite hobbies, movies you liked.

This is your chance to do life different. Your world could be super high tech. Your world could have almost no technology. A world lived under water, high up in the clouds over the tallest mountains….in a forest or a desert…

What is it you hate about life here….school maybe? Your world could be without any schools.

Fantasy is about pretending things different than they are and whether that makes life good or whether it makes life complicated and hard. Scary, peaceful….it’s all up to you to choose.

When you go to bed lie there and think how you could make a world and all it’s people.

I am actually in the middle of a simular project. There are a few fundementals when dealing with fantasy I think, the journey you have but you also need a villin, someone who doesn’t want you to reach that goal. My story is geared around a group of people rather than an individual so in my case they have each other to rely on. Youi might think about doing the same. Also a love interest always gives a certain degree of sexual tension between characters which is always entertaining to read or watch. Last but not least I think any good fantasy story has to have creatures or people not associated with reality i.e. gnomes, elves, umpalumpa’s “Michael Jackson”, you get the point.. I hope this helps.
