What is the point of having all the document types in SAP ?
this question is again a part of a project based on SAP. there is a lot of documentation to be done in SAP for simple entries also. so what is the point of all the document types in SAP?

The idea is to have a template for anything the customer (your project) needs to represent. They maintain all the standard business forms and templates for other applications, so that the customer doesn’t have to hire people to develop new documents from scratch. You’ll find similar support for processes, workflows, and so on: everything common in today’s business, with additional templates you can customize easily if you don’t see exactly what you need already implemented.
