What is the first day of a freshman like?

Do we get homework, what kind of homework (hard or easy), do we get lost and get in trouble for being tardy, etc….

I highly doubt we’ll get homework because in past years the teacher explained the year plannedout for us, talk about themselves, tell us what we’ll need to get, etc. I would appreciate it if someone who is in high school year and is not a freshman would answer.

You probably wont get any serious homework, and I doubt you’ll get in trouble for being tardy. Its pretty similar to Middle School.

I was a freshmen last year and all i got for “homework” were things to fill out about myself and papers i needed to get signed. I wasn’t late to any classes because we got to do a walk of the school before it started to see where classes were, but usually the first day we don’t get tardies. I’d find friends at lunch so you don’t fell left out but mostly the first days just about what the year will be like learning about peers teachers and classes. It’s was pretty boring really.

its ok you might get homework or not depends on teacher if you do it will be kinda easy usually not hard you might get lost but just ask someone like a teacher find one that looks nice and will give good directions you will only get lost on the first and maybe the second day thats it. usually the first and second day are not counted for tardy because many people dont know where to go. hope that helps

I guess your teachers are the only ones who know whether you’ll get homework the first day, but I’m sure it won’t be real hard on the first day. Most schools won’t penalize you for being late on your first day of school. If it’s at all possible, maybe you could go to your school before the first day and walk through your class schedule ahead of time—that helps to gain confidence–at least you’ll have an idea of where the classrooms are.

i’m a sophmore so i should answer this one correctly

u don’t get homework on the first day, if they do give u hw, it’s “about you” survey things

u will probably get lost b.c high school is defiantly is bigger than jr high school but don’t worry ,some teachers are outside the hallway to help incoming freshmen and u don’t get in trouble for being late about or less than 1 week of school

oh and one more thing; upper classmates are not that mean to freshmen don’t worry about it =]

usually the 1st day i for you to get used to stuff. and teachers are also usually leanient on tardiness and stuff. i doubt youd get homework. when i was a freshman we got like our supply lists and class rules and stuff.

My first day as a freshman was a breeze. We didn’t get homework. We didn’t have to worrie about the upperclassman because our 9th graders are in their own building. You have nothing to worry about it’ll be a breeze! : )

its worse for me, i barely know anyone at the high school im going to cause its a special school where a few smart people from every town in my county is chosen. i was the only one in my town :] good luck !
