Novel is something written in narrative form, can be book lenght, sometimes shorter.
Poetry is written in a very special style, in which the lines follow some rhyming rules … here’s the first poem I ever learned:
AMO AMAS
I LOVE A LASS
I don’t remember how the rest of it went … it had to do with remembering bits of Latin.
Poems are usually pretty short … a page or so in length.

nicely the main glaring is length frequently a singular is an prolonged tale that has a begining, ending and reluctant plots and stig’s, in spite of the shown fact that a poem does not would desire to have any of those issues.
