currently dangerous bacteria are becoming immune to antibiotics and not enough is being done to develop new antibiotics — the money in drug research has shifted to designer painkillers, antidepressants, and the like — nothing life saving — its all life enhancing.

Antibiotics are good because they kill off bad bacteria in your body.
However, “Anti-biotic” means “Anti Life”. So as it kills off the bad bacteria in you, there is going to be some good bacteria that will also die.
