What happens to the size of our lungs & diaphragm when we inhale/exhale & is there any gas law shown here?

Well, Naturaly the diaphragm is dome shaped, curving into the thorax or chest cavity. To breathe in, it moves outward- stretching itself almost straight plus the rib muscles pull the ribs upward and outward thus increasing the volume of the cavity, but DECREASING the pressure ( Boyle’s Law- Pressure is inversely proportional to volume ie. as volume increase, pressure decreases and as it decreases, pressure increases) therefore air in the surroundings would have more pressure than in the chest cavity and thus naturally air rushes in…

and the vice versa happens when exhaling,

i) the diaphragm curves in,

ii) the rib muscles pull the ribs downward and inward reducing the volume thus INCREASING the pressure which becomes more than it is outside and so air rushes out again.
