Romeo is day, she wants to let him in. As for life out, once he is gone she is back to where she was before the pang of lust and love took her over. She wants him in her room, or her out in the garden.

Here’s a tip: When you read R&J, think of the two as being mentaly retarded.

Because Romeo has to leave, the night is over and so is Juliet’s love life.

Juliet at this point is understandably so wrapped up in herself that she feels that as soon as Romeo leaves, it is the equivalent of her life disappearing out the window. I’d be pretty p*ssed off too.

As the window is opened……. it brings her the sunlight to signal a new day……. as with every other day she has always lived under the constant watch of her parents. Now that she has met Romeo and done something she knows would be against their wishes, she realizes she has found a life with purpose now as she has finally discovered love. So as the day comes to life, her love and new found life must go. She must resume the mundane that she has become accustomed to…… much to her regret.

window, let day in

means that she wants the nurse to open the curtains to let the sun (day) in

let life out

means Romeo is about to leave so he is not found in her room and she is sad she has to go about her day (life) without him
