what does L feet mean?
So my question is what doesn L feet mean?
Favorite Answer
If L is the length and W is the width, then the area is LW (L times W, or length times width). And the problem says that LW = 300. So to find W you divide both sides of that equation by L, and that gives W = 300/L.
If you copied the question EXACTLY as written, the answer to the question is “L” – Quite confusing.
I suspect a typo/misprint.
The area of of a rectangle is length times height. If I have an area of 300 sq ft, and one side has a length of L feet, the height must be 300 divided by L, or 300/L feet.
A = L * h
300=L*h
300/L=h
So yo will get a formula not actuall values
The formula could be used to substitute real values
HINT
Area=LxB
300=LxB
what is L with no other values?
make L the subject
