basically, when you say ‘the nile’, which IS a river in egypt, it sounds a lot like ‘denial’, which means when a person refuses to admit something to themself. so basically, the person is making a pun, and saying ‘denial’ is not a river in egypt (it’s a mental/personal problem that whomever they are speaking to has).

I think the usual wording is, “Denial is not just a river in Egypt.” It’s a pun meaning that not only is there a river called the Nile, but there is also a state of mind called denial.

I think it say’s “Denial is a River in egypt” It is a joke that is saying that you are in denial about something. A preacher has preached a message and said that.

The Nile is the name of the river. When they made the comment about denial it is a play on words……a pun if you will…….they mean that someone is not facing reality…..hence they are in “denial”…get it!
